Photographic interpretation is defined as "the act of examining photographic images for the purpose of identifying objects and judging their significance” (Colwell, 1997). It is mainly used by the military as an intelligence gathering technique using photographs taken by aircraft or satellite assets.

In this page we offer several photographic interpretation challenges, each one consisting on a picture (which may be up to date or not) and several hints which may allow the player to identify where the picture has been taken or the type of material shown.
